Elife is so useful
Great minds think alike.
Riiinngg..riiing...mobile phone rang.
GHY:Oi..you have tai ci tonite ah?
Me: err..yes..
GHY:I wanna buy u birthday dinner..but u hv tai ci...BUT..i oso know that u can skip tai ci for dinner!
Hmm..Elife had done a good job in promoting my birthday and also promoting my bad habits :D
And...GHY may have just read that I'm so bored today...and came to my rescue!
Ahhh..Elife is so useful :D
But..one needs also to have great friends to make such effort la. Unlike 'some people', me for example, can't even remember birthdays. Worse still..don't even make an effort to find out about birthdays. hee hee...
Somemore negotiated to have GHY wait for me until I finish BC at the gym! Terrible Terrible :p
Have I mention that I have great friends?
FYI --GHY is an ex schoolmate. WK is an ex colleague. And co-incidentally ..GHY and WK met when thery were working in the D company. So..we became mutual friends! Isn't that great? And..to make things even better..we were all born in the same year of OX. Three moo moo cows!
So bored
Someone..entertain me pleaseee. Was so bored that I was 'flirting' with an ex-boss on FB.
ex-boss (status):Should I follow my brother and drive from KL to HK next year?
Me: omg. HK?!?!can i follow ah.
ex-boss :u sure? it is ard 30 days, but i might just join him at mongolia or somewhere thereabouts and then follow to hk...maybe 18-20 days then
Me:hmmm..no need to work meh. but i m really tempted. i need some adventure..very sian la. can u be my sugar daddy..for that particular mth.
ex-boss: wow...this is a pleasant (but nonetheless indecent) proposal...too good to be true :-)
Me:hahaha...sorry..wrong choice of words ...u r stil a 'young man' dun qualify to be sugar daddy la.
ex-boss: ya...me young and strong still...not qualified as sugar daddy yet...also not enough money to claim to be one...
Sigh. So bored. So bored.
Today I noticed that 6 out of 8 updates from my bloggie friends wrote about kids/ babies. Hurrr....I've nothing against parenting or kids..but.
I need to recruit more bloggie friends of different lifestages to come on board. I miss Mag! Where u?
It should be difficult to find non parents amongst my circle of friends. Even the younger ones like PPL are expecting or soon to be expecting. Very soon..in fact anytime now..FY will be a father too. Omigosh.
Again..I've nothing against parenting and kids...I just need some variety. Well..I can't join you guys (at least not in the short term)....so I need some distractions once in a while.
...lost my rambling momentum. Don't know what I'm rambling about actually.
Oh wait..I was going to say..
..that. at this age i'm at (mid thirties)....most of us would have moved on to a different lifestage ie. Married without kids yet or Married with kids.
Amongst those still in single-hood (like me and a few that I know)....we have a common 'sickness'. We are so used to having our own little space..we claim to enjoy the 'privacy and space' and yet we are constantly on a lookout for a more interesting life. Some are overworked or tired of work (cos' that's basically all we do)...I know someone who recently quit his job without another job and will be heading out to soul search. He said he may end up being a priest! LOL!!
oh..I missed my period this month. Have I been notty? Not that I know of. May be that explains why I'm so bored. Hormone imbalance.
~~end of rambling~~

What about April 2009
April..a very special month should be. The month I was born :) and this is it is made even more special...need I say more...
FINALLY....I GOT THE A NEW CAR.
Was a bit worried about the financial crisis initially.. liabilities..my own job security..but still ..went ahead to satisfy my indulgence anyway. Law of attraction :)
Rather Than Complaining, I’ll Focus On Positive Aspects…
When you focus upon lack in an attitude of complaining, you establish a vibrational point of attraction that then gives you access only to more thoughts of complaint. Your deliberate effort to tell a new story will establish a new pattern of thought, providing you with a new point of attraction from your present, about your past, and into your future. The simple effort of looking for positive aspects will set a new vibrational tone and the Law of Attraction will begin the immediate attraction of thoughts, people, circumstances, and things that are pleasing to you.
Excerpted from Money and the Law of Attraction — 3/31/09
What else about April...
...I did more than 70 posts in April!
...I met Milee!
...played Futsal for the 1st time
Streamyx - pleaseee..buck up for goodness sake!
Streamyx! TM! Telekom..or whatever..if you are reading this. You guys really need to buck up!
Firstly...I always always always have 'hang sessions' with our account and it happens at least once a week.
Secondly..when that happens..we have to call the call center for help. The conversation is almost identical each time:
...who's on the line please?
..may I have you username?
..and your tel. no is 012 xxxx
..tq for the verification
...and this acount is registered under xxxx
..tq for the verification
..and how can I help you
...oh..you have a hang session indeed
..I will help you to delete the session
..please switch off you modem and on back in 15 seconds
...how else can I help you?
I've given up asking why does it hang so often as I never did get a convincing solution. All I need is for them to delete the damn session so I can have the internet back! I can die wihout WWW you know.
However! It is bl**dy frustrating even trying to get to through to someone at the call centre. Each time I call..I had to hold for 10-15 mins..sometimes..I never get even get connected. This is ridiculous!! Especially when it is coming from the country's MAIN TELECOMMUNICATION HUB.
I am pisssed. Very pisssed.
It took me one hour to get through to a human being this morning. I can memorise the sequence of the IVR system by now:
..terima kasih kerana menghubungi TM
..sila tekan 1 ountuk Bahasa M'sia dan tekan 2 untuk Bahasa English
..TQ for calling TM
..pls press 1 for technical assistance, 2 for billing....
..your call is important to us..our rep. are currently engage and are not able to take you call..pls hold while we try to connect you...
...*stupid music*
.....your call is important to us..our rep. are currently engage and are not able to take you call..pls hold while we try to connect you...
...*stupid music*
.....your call is important to us..our rep. are currently engage and are not able to take you call..pls hold while we try to connect you...
..THE ABOVE REPEATS FOREVER....
The best part is..there were a few times....I hear a different message that goes like this:
..sorry..all our rep are still engage and can't attend to you..pls try to call again later or visit our website at.. somethin.help.something
DUH!!! My internet is down!! I can't access the net.
SO..the above went on and on for one hour. It can be frustrating when you all you is the machine to talk to. Very frustrating. At times I felt like breaking the bl**dy phone.
To give a little credit to the call centre..I did manage to get thru to a human being finally. The lady was very patient and polite. Well..what else can they do right. Problem solved within minutes. But..it's ridiculous ...to have to spend an hour to get through just to solve a minor problem.
You think about it Streamyx..is that efficient???

Missing Rambles
Some of my bloggie friends have been writing really good stuff. Specific. Straight to point. Purposive. Meaningful. Funny out right. Makes me ponder (again) about how I want or I should maintain the content of this blog. But then..e-life is e-life. It's unique in the sense that it is random. Full of crap in some ways but yet it's about me, my life, my friends ..oh well anything that captures my attention. It's very much like me in real life..I dislike law and order. I prefer to be free and easy. After the Nepal tour..I told myself I'll probably not sign up for any tour packages in future ....it makes my vacation depressing when I'm told what time I should wake, what time I should eat, where I should eat, what I should eat, bla bla bla. That explains my grades in school got worse as I got older. We didn't have many choices those days...especially with limited education fund...and education is supposedly The Key to move on in life. So..I just signed up for the only external programe my parents could afford...and got myself a degree...supposedly the ticket to a better life (no?) True in some sense..I probably won't have what I have if not for the Education. But then..I always suspect that I have a thing for some other things apart form academics...I don't like drawing though..I've never tried music....what can it be?
Was listening to Enigma just now...so soulful ..haha. Explains the deep thoughts up there. Pink's U n Ur Hand is on now....180 degree mood change :D
..It's super Tuesday..can't wait till the evening work out..been eating and eating and eating since Sunday. I must have put on KGs!!!
..speaking of food, shall I have McD, subway or rice for lunch today?

Things they do..makes me YAWN

Been wanting to bitch about all this crap news..but I can save my breath now..Patrick Teoh has said all I want to say in a even more funny and sarcastic way:
http://niamah.blogspot.com/2009/04/oh-you-all-live-like-this-one-issit.html
ENJOY...
e-Bayaran sucks

Happy Birthday To Me :)

This post will be schedule to load at 12am tonite...hehe.
Yeahh...tomorrow birthday. But tomorrow is Monday though..yerrr....never had this practice to take leave on birthday. It's going to be a short week anyway..Labour Day falls on Friday --yeah yeah yeah.
Had a pre-celebration dinner at CN's in-law's shop on Friday in Bukit Jalil...chose to eat there mainly because we wanted to see her son :) and she can stay longer to yak ..no need to rush home. Thanks for the treat gals.
Had another lunch n yak yak n tea n yak yak again with another group of good old friends. Main agenda was to celebrate mine and Fel's birthday as well as to ride on the Latio. But I totally forgot that it was Fel's occassion as well. I was thanking the gals for lunch and Fel also did so, I asked her innocently .."why are you thanking them ah?" As usual ...if you ask me now I still dunno when is her birthday ..oop.
We were at Italianne Kitchen @ Jaya 33. Once again, I would like to re-affirm, great food great place. I never really fancy italian food before I tried this place. I'd always thought italian food is no big deal and over priced. Move aside Italiannies. The food here is 1000 times better, to me at least! Price..i thk it's reasonable..didn't really pay attention this time cos I don't have to pay ..hee hee..TQ ah. If I observed correctly..I think the total bill should be between $150 to $200. Quorum : 5 out of 6 persons excluding 'the someone' who opted to go to Tioman with beloved hubby (although she can't dive because of pregnancy..tsk tsk tsk).
Mushroom soup (best I've ever tasted) and caesar salad as Starters (no pic..too hungry to bother)
By the way...the white car one week old and is already quite filthy. I'm too lazy to wash it myself la. Next week la. Most likely will send it to the car wash instead.
It is now 7.39pm and I am hungry already! My apetite has been huge these days, always hungry and eating bigger portions than usual....die.
Switching to the IRB page now, gotta submit the tax form now. I am so reluctant to submit cos a click on the 'SUBMIT' tab measn I officially owe the IRB almost $1,700......!!!

I received a real Birthday Card :)
The Latio is 'injured'
Sigh..
No worries though...it's just a minor graze...hope they can patch it up during the first service...BUT STIL?? You don't do that to a car that is less then a week old~
Sorry guys..those whom I am meeting tonite to show off the sparkling white dude..it's not 100% good anymore. Ermm..it's turning grey so it's not sparkling white neither.
P/S:
I'm surfing from Old Town Coffee @ Jaya One. I just had one of their breakfast set -- the My Noodle Set for RM5.90 (additional RM1 cos I opted for White Coffee instead of black). Top of mind..the noodle looks like those HK style instant noodle and it comes with an egg and a sausage..so RM4.90 is a good deal right? It turned out to be local instant noodle ..lol...either Maggie or Cintan. And..I only realised (after I finished) that my bowl didn't have any vege as illustrated. Well, if you don't mind having instant noodle for breakie..it's a good deal...it's still cheaper that having maggie mee in mamak stalls! Otherwise..just opt for the Toast Set..that comes with a Single Kaya Butter Toast, two half boil eggs and coffee..much more nutritious.
Leaving to a site later on..so I will be offline until I am done 'supervising'.
Meanwhile..say a little prayer for me..pray that I will be more alert alert while driving..to Shah Alam..unfamiliar zone for me..

Declutter your Desk = Declutter your Mind
If you accept my definition of clutter, then you acknowledge that clutter goes far beyond the physical environment. Clutter can be activities, or even people, in your present life…something to think about! The statistics below refer to physical clutter, although you could probably come up with some pretty startling statistics if you were to broaden this definition beyond your environment. ..READ MORE from http://www.orgcoach.net/

I pay your hair cut..
For some reasons ..I was surrounded by very tall huge men at the queue. Men like Subway? I felt like a midget! Anyway..suddenly I heard the one behind me talking:
Man behind me :..where you going? (to someone who was walking pass)
The other man : .... (didn't catch what he said..but he went separate ways)
Moments later..the other man came by again..waving a copy of brochure about a Wash n Cut haircut offer for RM12
Man behind me : go go..i pay for it! (my eyebrows raised..*huh*)
The other man : ..huh..u kidding? (he has quite long hair..I notice..but still? he doesn't look like he can't afford a haircut)
Man behind me : Go..i pay!
The other man : u kidding?
Man behind me : Go..i pay!
The other man : u kidding? or what?
The above repeated quite a few times..."go".."u kidding"..."go"..."u kidding"
Eventually..the other man..really went for his hair cut!
While he was leaving...
Man behind me : got money or not..come come..(taking out his wallet)
Haha..all kinds of characters we have around us? What kind of relationship do you think they have? My guess will be boss - subordinate type. The boss can't stand his messy image!

I did it AGAIN!
1st class.
Even more bizarre then losing a padlock key.
Well I thought I lost it...although it didn't seem possible to lose it when all I did after changing was visiting to the ladies and straight to the RPM studio.
Anyhow..I didn't have the keys with me upon reaching the RPM studio. Searched high and low..in the ladies...re-track all the places that I walked pass. No keys.
So how?
Had to request to cut the padlock lor...and I had to do it it myself cos the guys can't enter the ladies changing area and there were no ladies on duty. The only female around is the cleaner and I couldn't find her.

I not bad oso hoh...can manage this humongous gadget alone...
e-lifesl -- what do you like it to be about?
Enjoy Life ...or Electronic Life...it's still full of ramblings from good old WSL :) Keep visiting!
P/S:
I just felt dried up rashes all over the front of my lower neck/ upper chest. No wonder it was pinkish yesterday and I thought I was tanned -_-
Interest rates for car loans raised
Today's news reported ...Hire purchase interest rates for new non-national cars (such as Toyota and Nissan) have increased to 3.25% for loan tenures of five years and below, 3.4% for six to seven years and 3.5% for eight- to nine-year loans.
Stupid.
Can't they make up their mind? Encourage spending with lower borrowing rates? Or protect 'Malysia Products' by raising borrowing rates of foreign makes??

Early Morning Storm
Think I dozed off after about 15 mins.
Guess what time I woke up in the morning. Alarm sounded at 7am...knocked it off. And I didn't wake until EIGHT!
Greetings from WWF
Rambles:
Wiit! I survived 24 hours not blogging! Just didn't have anything to blog about..must have blogged too much the night before. Or may be I was just taking time to recover from the 'shock' after learning the amount I still owe the IRB. Meanwhile..the car's great..loving it! Seems like my travelling time had doubled up cos I drive much slower and refused to take the normal short cuts due to bad road conditions. Seriously..the condition of our roads is getting form bad to worse!
~~~ ~~~
Here's a Birthday card I received from WWF.
Sweet!
Nissan Latio's Intelligent Key
This post..I wanna talk about the Intelligent Key that comes with the Latio.
It's really darn cool! I only have make sure I have this with me in my bag or pocket whenever I wanna use the car. A press of a button on either front doors or the rear trunk..and ta daa..the car locks / unlocks.
Upon entering the car...no key needed to start the car. Just turn this ignition knob and the system will detect if the Intelligent Key is nearby. Once 'cleared'..another turn of the knob..and the car starts!
I am still trying to get used to it. I still have this habit of reaching out for a remote to unlock the car. And looking for keys to start the car. And I kept trying to pull out the knob after stopping the car...getting out of a car without a key in hand..it's just so weird.
Still have yet to work out a 'idiot' proof system. I bet you....the day will come where I will be writing here on least one clumsy incident about yours truly here..locking myself out of the house without the I-key or leaving the I-key in some other place or bag..whatever.
Another thing..is I still use the steering lock..mainly for deterent purposes. It's so uncool to have the steering lock key attached to that sleek I-key, so I attached it to my house key instead. A bit tricky right. Especially when I don't have a habit of carrying house key with me all the time.
bla bla bla..
Read more about the I-key here or here.
Helo from niece n nephew
Hi there..guess what..I just turned 4 months yesterday.
and...my big brother just turned 4 yrs old yesterday too
Oh.. wat a day..
Mine was great. BC in the morning (as usual). Had lunch with old man...main purpose is to take him for a spin in the new car. Played badminton with Gan..2 hours! And I have not played since December! Didn't plan for this actually..she sms-ed to say that she booked a 2 hour court with no players..(all because her 5 yr old son is having is his 1st lesson there..sigh..things that parents do). Anyway..I enjoyed the game..always love this game no matter what. Met up with Milee and EL for tea after the game. It was great...especially meeting Milee after so many many ..many years.
Hot hot day though. I have a headache now. Wish I can sleep..but..I have to do the e-fling thingy :( Can't even remember how and where to start! Urghh...
I can be such a clumsy dude
If there is an award for World Most Clumsy Dude, I will win it hands down.
First, I pumped a full tank of petrol (worht 73 bucks!) into this old car that I know very well that is going to be handed over for trade in the very next day. Piak!
Second, I left the petrol tank cover at the petrol station. Even left the petrol tank door open for the night. I've been driving for about 10 years now..I've never done that before until now. Piak Piak!
Third, I lost the padlock at the gym AGAIN.
Thi is my 3rd lock. Piak Piak Piak!
'Shrek Hunting'
Sorry ..can't disclose much. Strictly confidential. Hee....
Man Jeuk 2008 (i.e. Sparrow)
Best Director Nominees
1. Ann Hui On Wah (The Way We Are)
2. Johnnie To Kei Fung (Sparrow)
3. John Woo (Red Cliff)
4. Benny Chan (Connected)
5. Yip Wai Shun (Ip Man)
I shall not talk much about the movie per say -- you can read more about it HERE if interested.
Man Jeuk was released at about the same time as Batman last year. We wanted to watch the latter actually. I was just telling fafa casually that..if can't get tix for Batman ..there's this new show called Man Jeuk (Sparrow). I am a fan of Johnnie To and Simon Yam films. Anything from them..I'd assume it will be good by default. Fafa misunderstood my statement and bought tix for Man Jeuk instead.
So..three of us ladies went in there ...didn't know what to expect. I of course had high hopes.
Ermmm...it was kind of a artistic film. Most of the time..we see Simon Yam and his bicycle and camera and there's this beautiful girl running here and there..always seems to be running away from something someone...we see that at the beginning of the show...started having question marks (??)...and still see the same scenes over and over again in the middle of the show ..more question marks (?????) and...the rest is history...we left the cinema with more (????????????)
Very arty show indeed. But..I still like the sight of Simon Yam :))))
Yesterday, Tomorrow, TODAY
Look to this Day!
For it is Life, the very Life of Life.
In its brief course lie all the Verities and Realities of your Existence.
The Bliss of Growth,
The Glory of Action,
The Splendor of Beauty;
For Yesterday is but a Dream,
And To-morrow is only a Vision;
But To-day well lived makes
Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness,
And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope.
Look well therefore to this Day!
Such is the Salutation of the Dawn!
Rambling on..a fine morning
Hmm..in one of my melancholic moods again. Triggered by the weather I guess. Or something else? Hate it when I am not in control. Grrr...
...Lost my thoughts flow..for now.
Why do I blog?
I am indeed happy to see you guys enjoying some of my crappy jokes here. Keeps me motivated to keep blogging. Not sure if I have written this before..but what the heck..I want to write again.
Why do I blog?
...love to see that e-life keeps you guys entertained (not always but at least some times la)
...blogging also keeps me sane and entertained
...sometimes blogging helps me to say things I would never say aloud
...e-life also keeps track of my life (not everything..but to some extend)
...i also think that blogging helps to improve my vocab and writing skills indirectly
*YAWN*...very sleepy. cannot think liao. will updatein the morning..if I think of more "reasons to blog"
**UPDATE:
Just thought of something. You know what I find interesting about blogging. e-life is not just about my life and trash talking..it also amazingly and mysteriously provides a dotted-line linkage ..sort of like a little network amongst my friends. For instance..the Blogroll (Bloggie Friends) that I have here is a mixture of ex-colleagues and ex-schoolmates and you guys don't know each other before this. Busybee doesn't know and have not even met Cowie or Gina for example..but ..funnily they know what's happening to each other's life via the blogs they keep. There's a setback for me though...alot of times..I assumed that I've said all that I want to say in here and I tend not to say again in real life. So...those who do not read e-life may not know latest developments in my life ..lol!
Many times ..I told Cowie (heavy user of the blogroll -haha) that..she may even know my friends better! Bloggies aside...there are also regulars who drop by ocassionally and exchange comments in selected entries. Not forgetting ...a few new regulars who 'emerged' recently..milee, RH, GHY. Anymore 'invincible regulars' out there that I am not aware of? Well..of course there are other successful bloggers who receive thousands of unique visits daily...e-life is nowhere near there...but then when there are thousands of visitors each day..it's a totally different platform already right? For now..let's just enjoy this little community :)
