Fuel Consumption - Nissan Latio Sport @ 9 months old

When it was 5 weeks old I updated here that the FC was at about ...RM0.18 per kilometre or 9.98 kilomtres per litre.

I've been keeping track of the records since September..to get a relatively more accurate feel :

In conclusion, the average is still about the same as it was at 5 weeks old at :

RM0.18 per kilomtre or 9.99 kilometres per litre

Travelling pattern ~ day to day city travelling..to and  from work & gym and weekend leisure outings..mainly around PJ (not in city centre)

I've excluded RON97 (highligted in yellow) and outstation trips to Seremban & Kuala S'gor for better accuracy.

Hope the above is helpful.

By the way..what's the use of having skirtings..when one keeps wrecking them!

  1. I just get my new Latio Sport car for one week.
    I use Shell 97 petrol.
It seems the car is quite disappointing me that the fuel consumption is over RM0.20/KM for city driving. I wonder is that because of Shell petrol is not fuel efficiency to this car?? From your research, Shell performance is averagely RM0.18/km. I may try to use Caltex next time and hope can score RM0.13/KM !!
    Thanks for your details research.
p.s. someone says Petronas Primax 3 is fuel saving for Latio Sport. You may try it.

  2. Anonymous,

Congrats on ur new car :) It's such a babe isn't it. I'm still loving it altho I'm not too happy with the servc ctr.

As for fuel consumption, don't think it will ever hit 0.13 ler..unless it's a outstation drive. Personally, I find staying with one fuel type is more efficient for the engine...mine had been doing pretty well with Shell RON95 so far.

  3. Are you using the standard engine oil for your nissan latio-sport or Semi-Syn?

  4. hi Jaren

I'm still using the standard oil. Have not decided if I wanna chg to semi or fully synthetic. Was also told that the Latio engine is 'delicate' hence, more regular servicing is adviced. if i'm not mistaken..they are also saying that fully synthetic oil is too rough for Latio, hv u heard anything about this?

  7. I am using Fully Synthetic oil for my Latio Sport Engine. It feel better drive compare with Standard Oil. And Fully Synthetic oil allow you drive 10,000 km and Standard Oil only 5,000.

If you calculate, Fully Synthetic oil is more cheaper then Standard Oil (The Price Include TC Labour Charge)
