All's Well Ends Well

I must have complained too much about being bored...!

What an 'eventful' day I had .....at the hospital -.-

The morning started with a bang...about 30 mins earlier than my usual wakey time when I heard Dad calling me from downstairs.  Hearing his voice at this hour the most effective alarm I ever need simply because he is normally out 'working' at that hour.

So..I spring out of bed..physically awake but mentally..half asleep.

He fell from his bike...

This must have been the Nth time....sigh.. ..

Early part of the morning was all about ... . helping him to put on some medication..evaluate the injuries...help him call his supplier..figure out what is best...clinic, hospital or chinese tit tar.

About an hour or so..the pain became more intense he was desperate to see a doc..any doc! Decision was to first..see a nearest GP..to ease the pain..then most probably GP would recommend..if it is necessary to go to a specialist..

GP suspected a fracture...wrote a reference to see a Othopedic.

It worried me to see him in so much pain.

Thank goodness..the pain was less intense when the nurse at the Orthopedic Clinic gave him a sling to support the arm while we endure the long wait for x-ray to be done, waited again for the films, waited again to see the doc...

Long story cut short...no regrets for going to a proper doctor.  The experienced Doc was quick to notice that he had a posterior dislocation and not a fracture.  Suggested to try fixing it while putting him under sedation instead of going under anaesthesia which will require admission and more expenses.

And..it was a success!.   Longer wait..at the A&E , preparation to sedate..wait for doc to 'appear' to perform the procedure ...2nd x-ray to confirm the dislocation is back 'in-order'...wait for doc to review the results..wait for doc to discharge.

I nearly passed out ...due to hunger...went for desperate carbo fix at the cafe.

RM15.50 with a latte....normal tasting..a bit soggy...but..good enough to keep me on my feet!

All's good now.  It was like magic...he felt so much less pain immediately when he regained consciousness.

Cleared to go home around 3ish.  Went for a late lunch..he ate faster and more than me...means..he is well...despite the arm in the sling.

Learning?..it's worthwhile spending the money...close to 1.5K : /

Thank you Dr Gan.

How am I? I need to go for my 'maintenance' tomorrow : /

Still bored

One of those days..where it seemed like one hell of a busy day..but....nothing seems Done in the end.
So...yupe..I'm still bored. Don;t ask me why..I don't . know.

I'm just. bored.

Gan has been asking me how I feel, how are my legs.....hoping that I can join her at the coming Klang run this Sunday.  Sorry..I can't.

1. my legs still feel like jello
2. I'm not in a mood
3. I just don't feel good

I'm temporary happy now though. Evening meeting postponed!  So ..I can give another try on BC>Run>BB at the gym.  Yep..I'm suppose to be unwell..but I need to do something before I go into depression.  Will evaluate the muscle aches.as I go along.  And yes..I'm giving another go at the TREADMILL.  *shiver*

Oh..I do look forward to some stretching and calming effect at the Body Balance class..

Wait a minute..I only brought one top today ..cos I only expected to be able to make it for BB.  So..I need to control my sweating : /  Any idea how to do that???

I'm bored

Aihhh..suddenly I feel so bored.

Since last week I've been feeling kind of lethargic.  Was planning to hit the gym later..but I'd better rest eh.  Legs feels like jello..muscles aches present for no apparent reasons...ankles achy..

Over exert..couldn't be..cause I have not really done much at all ever since that stupid fall last Thursday.  May be it's the fall..so body needs some realignment?

Whatever it is..rest is the best solution.

At times like this..it is Best to go shopping! Weeeeee,......

But..I'm broke..so broke :(

and I still want to get that damn Iphone.

Though Maxis is making it so difficult to get one!

 I     AM      B    O     R     E     D     .......

Actually...you know what will make feel better now..(apart from an Iphone)?

I'd like a relaxing evening run..by the lake or a beach...NO TREADMILLS.
I think I've developed a fear towards treadmills.

Aihh...but then..by the time I get home it will be dark...and quite late : /

And I'm hungry anyways..shall I do it after dinner?

We Need No Tower

I don't usually blog politics nor current affairs.  Prefer 'lighter' matters but as a Malaysian I have to do this..

http://www.facebook.com/NoMegaTower

It's late..I'm not gonna say much.  I have not been following much of current affairs ...but then..it's quite straightforward.  Don't need a rocket scientist to understand what is the fuss all about.

RM5,000,000,000 to build another tower

Does that sound right?
That's a lot of money isn't it?

Since Day 2 after the budget announcement someone started an online campaign to protest against the RM5 bil tower.  I finally 'joined' the protest a while ago...not because I was patriotic and supportive of the government before this..I just didn't think clicking LIKE to an online protest will change anything.

Not only I clicked the LIKE button but I'm writing this post now..touching on a topic that I'm not familiar with.  Mainly because I got very upset when I was driving home today..

The road conditions! are getting from bad to worse! pot holes every where. syabas, tm, etc etc take turns to  to dig up the road ...and who suffers??..the motorists.  Underground foundation were badly done...potholes kept appearing.  I travel on the same route for the past seven years..and I don't see any improvement.
We don't need no Tower....fix basic infrastructure, fix basic mentality of developers, works dept, whoever responsible of maintaining the roads. If I'm not mistake..they've mentioned before that they do not have enough budget for these things.

Secondly...the buses!  Bas kilang, Rapid KL and metro buses especially...are all not in the proper working conditions.  Disrupting traffic at a slow speed 20km per hour not to mention emitting thick black smoke. There are no proper schedules..they come and leave as and when they like.  LRT and LRT stations are not up to standard as well.  No need to look far..just hop over to Bangkok if you don't like to be compared to SG. Buses, taxis, tok tok, etc...in BKK are much much more well managed!
We don't need no Tower..fix basic public transportation, fix mentality of providers, operators.

That was only 2 main points.  I need not elaborate..although I can come out with many more...even though I'm half asleep now...e.g

...quality of teachers - more budget to improve training & salary to attract better candidates
...same goes to the police force..pay more ...and the quality will improve
...and the list goes on.

I manage projects of smaller scale at work..I know it is always easier and cheaper and takes less time and effort to "solve the surface" only..so that it looks good from the outside.  That's exactly what everyone is doing...not only the authorities but all of us. Time to change folks! Change from within. Solve the root cause of the problem!

If only I can, can I?

This excites me...

Oh..so I wish to be one of them...

Can I?
Nothing is impossible.
As long as there is will power and determination and passion.

But I lack in all three of the above.

So..I shall just sit here and dream.

Funnily, the FAQ page is all about climate, curency, transportation, etc but nothing on ..how is it gonna be, how fit one has to be.  May be those are pre-requisite :D

Sigh.

Treadmill Accident

So..I just finished counting how many bruises I have after falling quite dramatically off the treadmill at the gym a couple hours ago.

..three bloody fingers
..both knees bruised
..both elbows bruised
..minor lesions on both arms
..right jaw feels funny
...right ankle slightly sore

Hope that's about it and no surprises emerge tomorrow morning.  Most visible wounds and bruises are minor except a huge nasty one on the left knee :-(  Will take a pic when there are more colours :-P

What happened?

Some idiot left the treadmill running after using it, I stepped on it ...felt the earth move under my feet and ...  went tumbling down.  Took me a while to realise what was happening , why was I suddenly down and why is everything moving...and then THUD I landed on the floor.

A personal trainer who was nearby quickly came over to stop the treadmill and helped me up.  I was totally dazed and numbed, even stepped on the treadmill and started it and wanted to continue doing what I intended to do ..run.  The gal next to me kept asking of I was alright. offered me a drink..while the analytical and curious part of me ..started to ask questions.   While she was all concern about me..I was asking her questions :D Was this thing moving?  Did the previous person leave it on?  How did he step down when the machine was still  moving?  She said that he just hop onto the sides and left.

IDIOT.

I continued trying to digest the information..at the same time ..trying to see if I could walk or run comfortably while the kind gal still checking to see if I'm alright.  Then I saw my bloody fingers...

The evening didn't start well anyway..  Was feeling a bit woozy during and after the combat class..so I was deciding if I should head home but decided to stay on for a short run and hopefully go for body balance class later on.  Normally I will be refreshed after some balancing and stretching.

Whoever you are..thanks to you..I had to skip all that and ended all sore and bruised.

While driving back home....in pain and feeling very sore inside out...I texted Gan and SH...only because they are my other two running mates who use the treadmill to run...thought It's easier to relate.  SH's reaction was funny though..it went something like this ~ oh my..I pok kai too 2 days ago ~

That made me LOL.
P/s : Pok Kai is Cantonese and it means falling flat face down on the floor/street.

So ...guys and girls..learnings from this post?

Treadmill users :
- After using : please please..have some sense. Stop the machine before you leave.
- Before using : Check if machine is moving before stepping on it.

Come to think of it...fortunately...it was me and not some other older folk who fell today.  As far as I can remember...I totally lost control..no time to grab or hold on to anything...just crashed...and down I went.  I could have hit my head or something. Quite dangerous.

DogBone

You will either find this educational, funny or silly.

May be educational if you are not familiar with running events.

If you are a regular runner you may find this funny or informative...or you may end up laughing at the noob..yes, yours truly here.

A little bit of background for non runners :
Most running events will provide this 'device' known popularly as the D-tag to all runners, this tag is to be attached to all runners shoes and it serves as a timing device that records all participants individual timing upon completion of the race.

From what I understand, the D-tag is powered a tag chip and an antenna that ensures all runners start and end time are recorded flawlessly.

Below, I believe is what the antenna looks like.  It's labeled as the UPM Raflatac DogBone antenna.  Out of curiosity I googled and found that there was actually company website and located a pdf page about theis DogBone antenna alone!  It's very technical though..go HERE if you are interested.

So...why do you think I am rambling on losing sleep about this DogBone tag matter??

Well...I have to back track to the last run that I participated in few weeks back.  What happened was, for some mysterious reasons, the official results on the website did not have any records of my timing.  The organisers were equally puzzled too.

Why do you think I was able to take such a close shot of that DogBone?

It shouldn't be lying around.  It should be attached on the D-tag now attached to my shoe.  Correct?

Not.

If you peep through the D-tag, the DogBone is supposed to be underneath it.  It's not.  Yours truly here, left behind the DogBone when I was detaching the D-tag and was happily wearing a 'disabled' D-tag through out the race.

What a genius!

Informative, funny or silly? You tell me :D

Reality Check

I just checked ~ the last time I donated to Yvonne was November 2008.
That was close to two years ago -.- and it wasn't much.

While I continued to enjoy life Yvonne as always soldiered on her constant fight in life.

I linked myself to her page in facebook with an initial intention to keep myself updated, but, to be honest, I wasn't really paying as much attention as I needed to.  The number of surgeries, the variety of complications that Yvonne had gone through , it takes one very strong heart and mind to keep track let alone experience  .........many times I'd very shamefully chose not to read too much in detail. Yes..it's denial.  I was selfish..I chose to look at happy pictures of friends travelogue....read happy blogs..than to be reminded that life can be quite cruel and unfair when it needs to be.

Yvonne's dad had just passed away over the weekend after a long battle with illness. I cannot possibly imagine how this gal (who is the only child)  find the strength to manage all these obstacles in life.  Yvonne's been using her own medical funds to pay for her dad's medical needs.  According to her latest blog update the cortege leaves today 19th Oct  and she shall carry on to with her original plan to participate in a clinical research at National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland on 25-28th October.

Reality check.  My finances are not in the best shape lately...and yet I'm still thinking about life's little luxuries.
Why not put those money in a better place?

Yvonne is in constant need of medical funds. If you are feeling charitable today, tomorrow, next week, anyday...think of Yvonne:

Taking a Break

..I've been 'occupied'.....at least it felt like so.
Felt like it has been a long time since I had a 'normal' weekend. 'Normal' defined as a weekend that allows me to have my meals peacefully without having to rush off or a weekend that allows me more than enough time to do basic chores at home..so on so forth.

I actually feel mentally at peace too.  Looking back at the last few posts in here....looks like my mind's been on nothing but running events..and 'phone' :D

Tell you a secret ~ I was prepared to roam the town this weekend scouting all Maxis Centres for the damn phone :D but someone up there doesn't want me to get it yet.  Decided to hold on to see if the price will indeed drop in response to the government's budget announcement on sale tax exemption.

So..I was left with nothing exciting to do ..since I left work on Friday.

Had a nice relaxing dinner at Pasta Zanmai, thought these pictures are quite nice ler.

Went for a RPM work out this morning.  It's been a long time too..that I've been to RPM on Sat morning..can't recollect why I haven't been going for so long.  Sickness, errands, swim, a mixture of all I think.

Oh..have I mentioned that I've decided not to continue with swimming lessons.  Why? Too lazy to explain....let's just say that I found myself feeling reluctant to sign up and commit ...and decided to listen to hints from 'within'.

It's good to Listen to your own self...and be sure you listen carefully..it whispers most of the time.  Just like..I felt reluctant to sign up for the Mizuno Wave run happening this Sunday morning...guess what? Ms P arrived on Sat morning : P

Back to my Saturday..so i only went for RPM (despite Ms P arrival..decided to go ahead...). Enjoyed a good lunch and coffee with dad and sis after that.

Finally had time and most importantly the mood to drive the car to the car wash despite the hot weather.  Didn't have much choice actually, the car's really filthy.  Unfortunately, it didn't rain like always...so hot lar.

Meow.
 Nice shot right?

Yupe..even found time to mess around with the pets.

I'm camera shy

Go away..before I lose my patience..grrr

She was actually quite pissed as it was her nap time.

So..I went to the dogs instead.

That's Phoebe's wounded paw.  It was badly infected due to owner negligence.   Had to send her to vet for thorough cleansing.  It was infested with...maggots.   Euwww..I know.  I had to pay a price of RM245!

She's much much better now and is back to her happy and annoying self again.

Those are my attempts to take some shots of the annoyingly hyper dog :s

So...what shall I do on Sunday huh?

It's all about Progress

Been using FB for years now. It's been different from how we used it before...status updates are more matured compared to previous 'Good Morning', 'Out to lunch', 'Busy' kind of updates.  I've also been using it to follow certain pages to get useful updates of events, news, products, etc.

I signed up for Twitter because I wanted to understand what is the hype all about.  Why is it so huge?  I'm almost embarrassed to say that I only 'see' some 'lights' now.  I learnt how to follow useful organisations, brands, politicians, etc to get the latest updates.  I followed NIKEMY to get most recent updates on the run.  I followed Maxis to get latest updates on promotions..and of course the availability of Iphone 4.   Maxis also has fulltime Twitter account called MaxisListens that is managed full time from 9-6pm providing customer support.  Very interactive.

The world had progressed and is still progressing..very fast.

Early this year, I was asking M.."what is a smart phone" and "why do I need a smart phone" when my current phone is reliable and doesn't fail me when making calls and sms..etc. It does all I need a phone to do. When I got the Moto ZN5 that is wifi enabled..I thought my life was complete...I could go into FB, Twitter and this blog via wifi.  When I learnt that I can also surf using via 3G..I thought life is perfect.

I even declared here that I will not get a smart or Iphone.

Months passed.

I experienced.  I observed.  I learnt.

A smart phone..is not just a phone.  We may not just need a phone in this current world. It may not be just about making calls.  Texting messages.  Taking photos.

I would like to progress.  We should progress.

I don't want  just smart phone.    I want an Iphone. 4.

I know this may sound like a joke..but I am making a strong point here.

It is about Progress.  Moving on..that is.

Yea yea..I can hear people like FY saying..finally she gets it..DUH!
But I can also hear some of you saying...it's all your excuses!

Anyhow, anyway...I'm glad I caught up!

Just read Kenny Sia's review , as usual, he always does a damn good job.

Tak Tahu

Spotted a pair of fresh looking Nike casual sneakers and wanted to find out if it is a new Eclipse model.

Conversation with sales person as follows:

Me : Which model is this?
Sales lady #1 turned to sales lady at the cashier : Model apa ni? (i.e. what model is this?)

Sales lady at counter : Tak tahu. (i.e. Don't know)
Sales lady #1 turned to me and said : Tak tahu. Untuk casual wear la. (i.e. it's for casual wear la)

Anyway, I think there's a new Nike Eclipse range launched recently.  It may be this.

Source : Nike Store
Can't remember how the one I saw looks like though.  Similar...I think.  I LIKE!

Runtime

I kept telling Gan that I'm quite certain now that my participation in all those runs were just for the fun or the hype..and not performance driven at all.

We ran KL 10.10.10

First and foremost...sorry for the false suspense in the last entry.  It didn't happen after all : /  I had an ambitious thought that we could hop over to Lot 10 and join in the HooHa 5.5km fun run after completing the 10km at KLCC with Nike ..heee.

Of course it didn't happen.

My friends were right, I was already pretty much flat after the first10km.  No go.  In fact, the flag off at Lot 10 was scheduled at 8.20am, it was already about there when I finished at KLCC : (

Oh well..another time.

As for doing something crazy....aiming to complete 21km at the Penang Bridge International Marathon without much training what so ever..is. CRAZY enough!

Especially when I finally realised now that I may not be as fit as I thought after all.  As you can see..instead of running, I was happily snapping photos ..hmm.

Running along the AKLEH was quite cool but a tad bit daunting for me because of the slope

So..yes..it was another memorable event.  Was initially quite lazy and wasn't too excited about the whole thing, especially when we had to get up in the wee hours. Yawnz.  Started to wonder if I'm beginning to get bored and will eventually stop participating.

But hey..check this out.  It's the KLCC!  The peak of any running event is always the electrifying atmosphere at the starting line.  The adrenalin rush is unexplainable.  Different events, different organisers, different venues offers a different experience each time.

The feeling of dashing off with 8,000 others...is difficult for me to describe.

Amazing view! Picture taken from NikeMY

I must say Nike has succeeded in promoting running to the younger group.
Of course, their running range has also reached another level of recognition.

Don't. we. look. good?

The event was well managed too.

Sufficient medics (all of them wearing the Global Doctors vests).
Sufficient drinkss stations (every 2km)
Sufficient volunteers.

Sufficient bananas

Entertainment along the way (Every 2km)

But...how we wished that they could give us a finisher medal instead of a ......

A special invitation

Guest-Blogger By Invitation

So I am given the honor to guest-blog on e-lifesl. How flattering is this.

I have no idea what the role and responsibility are for a guest blogger, I suppose I should behave myself and not to make a fool of myself, and my host.

It's Saturday today. A working Saturday in China. I'm watching Nigerians training sumo wrestling on CNN now. Sipping DOM, yes, that supposedly potent spirit.

Okay, I'm not sure what else to write. I guess a soft start is a good start.

Thanks SL for inviting me to write on your blog. You did read my mind right. I was indeed too lazy to start one of my own :)

Have a beautiful Sunday.

PS: I think I forget how blogging feels...

Life's short, let's just do it :)

I'm campaigning for it.

We shall just do it...a little something crazy.

Something that I thought was crazy and only crazy people will do.

Last night, I suddenly thought..what the heck, life's hort, why don't we join the fun?

Breakaway from the norm.

Break the rules.

Do something we never thought it was sensible.

After all...we won't die.

It will be fun, trust me.

I think we will do it.

Stay tuned :)

It tastes like Cheezels, but it's not

Saw the TVC some months ago.  Finally got to try it.

Somehow I associated it with Kraft more..
Didn't realise it's branded as Cheezels until I come up close with the packaging when taking these shots.

Cheezels ..to me ..is always ...the cheese ring snacks that we all grow up with...always in a Ring format..and it's salty n crunchy...

This is a biscuit : /

And, I wasn't expecting it to be Cheezels.  I was expecting Kraft Cheese...just like the cheese  I ate with bread or pasta.

Not...Cheezels cheese.

Verdict  : /

Tastes like Cheezels, but It's not Chezzels lor.
It's still tasty though...but I'll need more more time to get used to  the taste..the brand..as in..Cheezels..is also biscuits...you know what I mean?

Was also expecting it to be some sort of snack filler in between meals..just like those little biscuits, but now when I see the brand is Cheezels..so is it healthy cheese?  You know what I mean?  Didn't get around to check the nutrition details yet.

Try it out,..and let me know if you feel the same :)

Thoughts:
Will it be a different effect if it's not branded under  Cheezels?

Michael I am

Remember I wrote about how I received and happily started using the Shuffle meant for Michael Wong?  The bank called today..asking for Michael Wong.  Imagine calling my number asking for Michael -.-  And the caller pronounced it as Mi-cheal (sounded like Michelle), may be she saw that I'm a female..so cannot call a female a Michael?

Funny?  Wait..here's more to it. I will try to put in as much funny details as I can.

Caller : I'm calling from SXX Bank.  May I speak to Mi-cheal Wong?
Me : Mikael, you mean? That's my brother.

Caller : Oh..what's your name then?
Me : *told her my nae*

Caller : Can I have his number please?
Me : What is this regarding?

Caller : I need to speak to him. Can I have his number please?
Me : *gave her his number*  and asked : May I know who exactly you want to speak to? We both have cards with the bank?

Caller : It says here Michael Wong?
Me : His name is not Michael Wong.  And my name is xxx. Which card are you calling about?  What's the card number:

Caller : *paused* ok..is your date of birth xx.xx..xx?
Me ; That's me...

Caller : *paused*..*deep breath* ok..ms Wong..sorry about that..*deep breath* as a valued customer of SXX bank..we are giving you this special previlige on *don't know what* product..would like to spend some time to talk about the benefits?

What is Foursquare?

When the city is your playground!

I love that tagline!
Yes..I really do think that the city becomes our playground with Foursquare : )

I first took notice of  this foursquare 'thing' when I was creeping around Facebook walls.  Thought it was so silly to 'check-in' at every place one arrives in...highways, pharmacies, eateries, gyms, office buildings...I thought it was nonsense... then, little did I know that I'd ended up doing the same few months later!

So what is Foursquare..my friends had been asking me...

For some reasons...only very few of my friends are into this trend.  I only have four friends using it and only one is active.  Other users may have up to 50 if not 100 or 1,000 friends in foursquare.  Either I do not have enough friends or my friends are not trendy enough :-P

So, why am I using Foursquare?  What's the point of wasting time and money logging on to check into a place? Is it so fun to let the world know where I'm eating, where I'm playing, etc etc?

Seriously..I don't know.

FY asked if I'm afraid of stalkers : D
My sis thinks I might be revealing too much personal stuff.

Really?

Well..what's worth in me to stalk? Waste of your time..go stalk some one else.  But I do agree about revealing too much personal ....be careful not to over share.  I refrain from publishing all work related locations.  I don't check in when reach home nor the office. Well, it doesn't make much sense to check into home / office everyday anyway..unless one wants to earn badges... by increasing the number of check ins.

Speaking of badges..yea..we are 'rewarded' with badges as and when we qualify..e.g. the "gym rat" - when one checks in frequently to the gym - but I have not earned that badge simply because I normally only have enough time to change and pee before a class starts ..he he.

Our lives had taken a 180 degree swing ever since Blogs, Twitter and Facebook invaded our planet.  While some still have reservations about sharing their life events and happenings publicly on these social networks, most of us are happy and having fun sharing and broadcasting bits and pieces of our life online in the cyberspace, me inclusive but I do it sparingly.

It's a phenomenon, I think.  I wonder if any psychologists are planning to study and understand the science behind this paradigm shift.

So..when do I check in?  Most of my check ins are related to eating or any interesting activities..preferably things or places that I don't normally do nor visit.

WHY THE FUSS?

Showing Off?

It's probably a Yes :D

Anyway..what else is there about Foursquare besides Showing Off?

SOURCE :http://foursquare.com

Foursquare is a mobile application that makes cities easier to use and more interesting to explore.

It is a friend-finder, a social city guide and a game that challenges users to experience new things, and rewards them for doing so.

As of August 2010, foursquare had close to 3 million users worldwide.

Foursquare aims to encourage people to explore their neighborhoods and then reward people for doing so.

We do this by combining our friend-finder and social city guide elements with game mechanics — our users earn points, win Mayorships and unlock badges for trying new places and revisiting old favorites.

Example of Venue partners in M'sia (not sure if the offers are still valid!):

The Bee (Petaling Jaya, Selangor)
Foursquare users! Check in 5 times and have our nice cappuccino on us!

Spicy Corner (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia)
For every Check In at Spicy Corner, enjoy our signature dessert 'Ice Cream Thosai' for only RM 4.00 ! Trust us, it is delicious!

See you @ Foursquare

Watch out for 10.10.10

Stay away from KL's Golden Triangle this Sunday morning if you are not running in the events ..or else you will be stuck with road blocks.

There will be TWO running events happening concurrently in the heart of Kuala Lumpur:

Wooot ~

The hooHa run was actually announced much earlier but I wasn't motivated to sign up mainly because of the shorter distance and it starts quite late.

I couldn't resist when Nike announced their event :P
Too cool !

For your information, some people are actually planning to participate in both events..complete Nike's 10km in less than an hour and hop over to Lot 10 to do the hooHa 5.5km.  Fun ah?

We were at Avenue K to collect the race kit today.
This makes my sixth race kit for the year.  Not bad eh?

Check out the running tee.  Love it. Love it. Love it.
The bib number is printed at the bottom front part of the tee.  How cool is that?
It's gonna be the one and only..no one does it but Nike !
I had to 'blank out' my number for 'confidentiality' reasons :).

Front View

And it fits perfectly.  I was almost reluctant to take it off when tried it on just now : P
The bright neon color looks a bit bright but who cares...everyone's gonna wear it!  KL will be lighted by walking highlighters ..woo hoo!

Donnie Yen Returns as Chen Zhen

I'm totally drawn to him :D

Source : http://www.cpopaccess.com

Watched the movie with my dad yesterday.  Awesome.
Donnie Yen is still as attractive as ever.

And I think he had successfully withdrawn himself from the Ip Man character and played Chen Zhen well.

Here are some scenes I pulled out from his website http://www.donnieyen.com/ which wasn't shown in our cinema. I wonder why.

You can also read an interview with him HERE
