Second Chances.. What if there aren't any?

A 9 year old boy was one of the lucky survivors from a landslide that took 16 lives, mostly children of an orphanage.  From what I understood, he was placed at the orphanage when his parents decided to separate from each other.  His other brother brother was placed in a separate home.

No one can ever imagine how relieved and thankful the parents were when they were found out that their beloved son actually survived the tragedy.

With this, the parents had decided to put aside their differences and promised the sons and everyone that they will reconcile and make sure that the family will be together again.

So...it takes a tragedy of this scale for some of us to realise that there may not be second chances and that  living harmoniously with the family and people we love are truly the most important and yet most neglected entity in life. Often, we've been too busy or getting lost chasing our own luxuries, dreams, enjoyment of different sorts.

This family is truly blessed to get a second chance.  Let's hope they make the best out of it.

As for the rest of us, second chances do not come by often, in fact, almost never.  So..what are you planning to do differently?
