So...that's how fast we work..

Source : The Star
The Cabinet has set up a committee to investigate the Jaya Supermarket building collapse.
Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha said the committee, which would be coordinated by his ministry, would call for a meeting next week.

“The committee will investigate if regulations had been adhered to and if the demolition had been properly carried out according to the standard operating practice,” Kong said.

So:

..7 days is needed to realise that there is a need for an investigation.
..may be another 7 days needed to call for a meeting
..and then another 7 months to find the scape goat the person responsible
..and then another 7 months waiting for trial
..by then..everyone would have forgotten about the seven that lost their lives
..and Malaysians continue to live happily ever after

No wonder...the road along Jalan Duta heading towards Segambut / Jln Ipoh had been in the dark without lights for months (may be a year) and I read that Tenaga and the Works Department had been pointing fingers at each other. The scenarios were something like this:

..Tenaga: The electricity supply to the road are functioning well..so it is not our responsibility
..Works: We've checked the lights..all are fuctioning too. So..it's Tenaga's fault.

Are they waiting for a fatal accident to happen before they buck up their ass and find out once and for all the root cause?

P/S: I travel on this road every other night. It's really pitch dark. Very dangerous especially when one is not alert or not familiar with the road. Plus...there are alot of goons who love to speed on this road ala Formula One.
